About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (18:45 - 07:15) Experience: 1 to 2 years of experience License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience in renal transplant, PD catheter care, hemodialysis, drains, TPN, wound care, diabetes encephalopathy, acute renal rejection, and thymo administration. - Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:5, with occasional flexibility to 1:6. - Familiarity with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and isolation precautions. Description: The role involves delivering high-quality care to patients in a Progressive Care Unit. Responsibilities include monitoring patients' vital signs and managing their care plans. RNs will be expected to administer medications and provide treatments as prescribed. The RN should be proficient in interpreting dysrhythmias and using rapid response teams. Experience with handling hemodialysis and pre/post-procedure care is essential. Knowledge of endocrine and metabolic protocols, particularly in managing IV insulin, is required. The position may require regular floating between departments and facilities as needed. Weekend shifts and holiday coverage may be mandated. The successful candidate will actively participate in the interdisciplinary care team. Applicant should possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility in work schedule is important to meet unit needs and ensure continuity of patient care.
