Work Environment\n

As a remote position headquartered in Elmwood Park, New Jersey, this role allows for flexibility while maintaining a structured work schedule. Your typical work hours will be from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekend schedules. Some on-call availability may also be required to address urgent mental health concerns, ensuring that our students receive timely support at all times.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the unique needs of students and their families.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on each student’s mental health, emotional well-being, and academic integration.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address conditions such as ASD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, and ADHD.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, aiming to promote personal growth, emotional regulation, and effective coping mechanisms.

• Collaborate closely with educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to a child’s care.

• Provide crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, employing rapid assessment and de-escalation techniques.

• Educate students and families about mental health issues and available community resources to enhance understanding and accessibility of care.

• Maintain thorough record-keeping and documentation in alignment with legal and ethical standards to ensure compliance and quality service delivery.

This role primarily focuses on students with special needs, including those diagnosed with ASD, emotional and behavioral disorders, ADHD, and those who have experienced trauma. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of New Jersey.

• Two years of post-licensure experience performing clinical social work, preferably within a school or educational setting.

• A solid understanding of various mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly with special needs populations.

• Strong crisis intervention skills and the ability to respond effectively in high-stress situations.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster relationships with students, families, and multidisciplinary teammates.

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and demonstrated computer skills.

• A commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to ethical practices within the field.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of relevant experience is required, candidates with specialized training in trauma-informed care, as well as experience working within special education frameworks, will be favored. Familiarity with behavioral interventions and strong collaborative skills are also highly valued.

Gotham Enterprises Ltd offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
