Business Protection Specialist

About the Role The Business Protection Specialist sits within the newly formed Business Protection team, within the Knowledge Management organization in Customer Operations. This role serves to support a critical relationship between Operations, Compliance, and Internal Audit teams. The Specialist will ensure that operational processes, particularly manual transactions and customer‑impacting actions, are documented, controlled, and aligned with regulatory requirements and internal controls. The Specialist will perform regulator‑aligned agent‑audits, monitor regulatory updates, and proactively assess the impact of process changes across Operations. This person will support the protection of customers, reduce regulatory risk for the business, and provide audit‑ready documentation, evidence, and control mappings. Key Responsibilities Conduct regulator‑aligned self‑audits of Operations teams’ manual transactions and customer‑impacting activities to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls. Identify process deviations, emerging patterns, and document findings for escalation. Maintain audit‑ready records, evidence, and artifacts for internal reviews, compliance requests, and regulator inquiries. Partner with Senior Specialists and Operations to validate process accuracy, improve controls, and keep customer experience positive. Monitor regulatory updates and guidance relevant to Operations and customer protection and provide actionable guidance on changes. Serve as a point of contact for Internal Audit by providing process documentation, control mappings, and proof of execution. Support Compliance initiatives by reviewing proposed process optimizations for regulatory and protection impact. Act as a connective layer between Operations, Compliance, Internal Audit, and Knowledge Management to drive shared understanding of regulatory expectations and process ownership. Qualifications Experience working with operational processes in a regulated environment, preferably within gaming, financial services, or another highly regulated industry. Working knowledge of internal controls, audit principles, and regulatory compliance concepts. Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with Operations, Compliance, and Audit teams. High attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to translate regulatory requirements into actionable guidance. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Compensation The annual salary range for this position is $50,000.00 to $65,625.00. Factors that may affect starting pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. This position is also eligible for participation in a performance‑based bonus plan.
