Job Opportunity – General Surgery – Pennsylvania

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Pennsylvania

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Call coverage only – 24-hour shifts on dates of availability. Typically 1 weekend per month and 1 week per month. Weekend shifts run Friday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM. Flexible scheduling available, up to 1 week at a time.

Highlights:

• In-house call only – no outpatient clinic responsibilities
• 163-bed hospital with EPIC EMR system
• Average callback: 2-6 hours per shift
• Flexible coverage options – approximately 0.5 FTE equivalent needed
• Robotic surgery experience preferred but not required
• Contract length: 6 months minimum, dependent on recruitment needs

Requirements:

• Board Certification in General Surgery required
• Active Pennsylvania state license or IMLC/Letter of Qualification in hand
• Current DEA registration
• Wide range of general surgery acumen and experience
• Clean malpractice history (no settlements over $500K; no more than 3 settlements except cases over 20 years old)
• Current NPDB self-query (within 6 months)
• Ability to complete credentialing requirements within specified timeframes (60-120 days standard; temporary privileges available for urgent needs with clean files)
