Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: PCU Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Required Must-Have: IV start experience Telemetry experience Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse to work in the PCU Float Pool during the night shift. Floating to different units is required based on staffing needs. The estimated patient ratio is 1:3-4. Candidates must have experience in PCU or similar step-down units. Clinical skills required include management of arterial lines, BiPAP/CPAP maintenance, and administering blood products. Candidates should possess skills in cardiac telemetry, central line management, and chest tube care. Candidates must be proficient in interpreting dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases. Experience with IV insulin protocols and management of cardiac and vasoactive drips is necessary. Candidates should be capable of providing care for patients with a variety of diagnoses. Responsibilities will also include procedural sedation monitoring and pre/post-operative care. Team collaboration with interdisciplinary support services is expected. Candidates must adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
