About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of PCU experience required License: Must have valid state nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: IV start experience Telemetry experience Previous travel experience preferred Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity Description: The position requires availability for weekdays and some weekends. There will be rotating holiday shifts. The estimated patient ratio is 1:3. Candidates must possess skills in IV start and telemetry. Experience with adult cystic fibrosis patients is a plus. The unit cares for a wide variety of diagnoses, including renal, hepatology, cardiology, and pulmonology. Special procedures include administration of cardiac drips, heparin, and insulin drips. Candidates will be required to manage and monitor dysrhythmias. Staffing includes interdisciplinary support from various teams such as IV teams, physical therapy, and rapid response teams. All candidates are expected to complete any required credentialing processes timely.
