Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine patients’ mental health status and effectiveness of ongoing treatment. Utilize standardized diagnostic tools, including the DSM-5, to inform your care strategies.

• Develop comprehensive and culturally relevant treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families, adapting interventions based on individual needs.

• Maintain accurate and timely records of all care provided, utilizing electronic health record systems to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans and interventions as necessary to optimize mental health outcomes.

• Facilitate effective communication and coordination among multidisciplinary teams, patients, and external healthcare providers to ensure holistic care delivery.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to interns and volunteers, contributing to the educational mission of our organization while enhancing the skills of future healthcare professionals.

• Support team development through collaboration, peer reviews, and quality enhancement initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role will be working with adult patients and their families affected by cancer. You will deliver compassionate support and specialized interventions tailored to the unique challenges faced by this patient group, including anxiety, depression, and psychosocial distress related to their illness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to assess and address diverse patient needs.

• Proficiency with electronic health records and telehealth platforms.
\n
• Flexibility and ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 pounds where necessary.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges between $90,000 and $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
