Shift: 12-Hour Night (Night Shift)

Hours/Week: 36-40 hours

Employment Type: Contract (W-2)

Licensure/Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Experience: 2+ years in Medical Telemetry in an acute care setting

What You'll Do

• Provide high-quality nursing care to medical, surgical, telemetry, and cardiac patients
• Monitor patient vital signs and interpret telemetry data accurately
• Administer non-titrating cardiac medications such as Dobutamine, Cardizem, and Heparin gtts
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including RTs, hospitalists, and therapists
• Conduct patient assessments and document care using Meditech Expanse EMR system
• Support rapid response for emergent patient needs and support unit operations
• Participate in unit orientation and ongoing training to ensure compliance and quality care

What You Need

• Active RN license in Louisiana or the ability to obtain one
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care RN experience in a telemetry or Med-Surg setting
• Ability to pass an EKG competency exam prior to start
• Strong skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation, PIV, central line care, and post-surgical recovery

• Experience with Meditech EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication systems
• Familiarity with non-titrating cardiac gtts and telemetry monitoring
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
