Responsibilities:


- Handle a caseload of civil litigation cases


- Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests


- Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations


- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to develop case strategies and achieve the best possible outcomes for clients


- Maintain regular communication with clients, providing them with updates on their cases

Litigation Attorney | Defense


A respected and established law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to build a long-term career in civil defense litigation while gaining meaningful experience on a variety of matters.


Trial experience is not required. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, critical thinker and advocate who wants to continue developing as a litigator.

What You'll Do

• Assist with civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
  
  
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions and other litigation documents
  
  
• Participate in discovery, depositions, hearings and settlement negotiations
  
  
• Work closely with experienced attorneys on case strategy
  
  
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel and other parties
  
  
• Develop increasing responsibility as your experience grows
  
  
• Gain exposure to all stages of litigation
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Active bar license in Arizona
  
  
• Approximately 2-6 years of legal experience
  
  
• Litigation experience preferred
  
  
• Strong legal research and writing skills
  
  
• Excellent communication and analytical abilities
  
  
• Strong attention to detail
  
  
• Desire to develop as a litigator
  
  
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines
  
  

Trial experience is a plus, but not required.

Essential Job Functions:

Skills:


- JD degree from an accredited law school and admitted to practice law in Ohio


- 3+ years of experience with litigation


- Strong research, analytical, and communication skills


- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and legal procedures
