Job Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of full-service restaurant experience in a management role
• Solid working knowledge of kitchen operations, including butchering and portion control
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to lead a team under pressure
• Demonstrated ability to deliver consistent, high-quality hospitality standards
• Working knowledge of POS/Micros systems, cash handling, and food and labor cost control
• Understanding of food handling, storage, safety, and sanitation procedures
• Ability to manage inventory, purchasing, and administrative responsibilities
• Commitment to maintaining a neat, clean, and organized kitchen at all times

Job Responsibilities

As the Sous Chef in Grapevine, Texas, you will:

• Support the Executive Chef across all areas of kitchen operations
• Manage back-of-house team members, daily operations, and food production for the restaurant and bar program
• Provide direction, coaching, and feedback to team members, including discipline and termination recommendations when necessary
• Own the ordering and receiving process for produce, seafood, and core food orders
• Conduct daily and bi-weekly inventory counts alongside the team
• Build and manage the back-of-house staffing schedule
• Interview, hire, and develop back-of-house talent to meet staffing goals
• Supervise and actively participate in butchering and portion control on every shift
• Set the standard for quality food and a clean, organized kitchen environment

Physical Requirements

• Able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language of the work location
• Able to reach, bend, push, and pull items for up to 2 hours per day
• Able to use fingers, hands, arms, and shoulders repetitively for up to 6 hours per day
• Able to stand and move at a steady pace for extended periods
• Able to bend, kneel, maintain balance, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
