Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health needs, utilizing structured interviews and diagnostic tools to develop targeted, individualized treatment plans.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, groups, and families, employing varying modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.

• Work collaboratively with case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care, participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and treatment adjustments.

• Facilitate crisis intervention sessions for clients experiencing acute mental health issues, employing de-escalation techniques and compassionate support to help manage their immediate distress.

• Engage in community outreach efforts, participating in workshops and seminars to educate the public about mental health topics and reduce stigma associated with seeking treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Haywood Counseling Center, you will serve a diverse array of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults from various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. You will play an essential role in addressing a wide range of mental health challenges—such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues—while respecting each client's unique experiences and perspectives.

Qualifications\n

• Possess a valid and active independent license as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• Hold a master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.

• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and foster meaningful therapeutic relationships with clients.

• Exhibit a strong sense of cultural sensitivity and competence to effectively support clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Maintain strong organizational skills, with the capability to document client sessions accurately and meet administrative requirements in a timely manner.
