School Aide

Amergis is currently seeking Preschool Teacher Aide Substitutes for the 2026-2027 school year to support preschool classrooms throughout Orange County.

This is an excellent opportunity for college students pursuing careers in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Teaching, Psychology, or related fields who are looking for flexible work schedules while gaining valuable hands-on experience in preschool settings. Whether you're available a few days a week or have a changing class schedule, substitute opportunities can provide the flexibility you need while building your professional experience.

As an ECE Teacher Aide Substitute, you will work alongside preschool teachers to help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment for young children. Responsibilities may include assisting with classroom activities, supervising play and learning centers, supporting daily routines, and promoting positive social and emotional development.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 6+ Child Development (CD) college units completed

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Previous experience working with young children is preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with children

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a classroom team

• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work at various preschool sites within your preferred area
