About the Position

Job Opportunity – Emergency Department RN (Oncology Pod) – Ohio

Start Date: December 14, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts; floating required as needed; 1:4 patient ratio

• 76 hours of orientation provided to ensure smooth onboarding
• Request time off may be granted at facility discretion (7 consecutive days off for 14-week contracts)

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• 1 year of travel nursing experience required (hard stop)
• Current, consistent acute care experience within the last 12 months in Emergency Department specialty
• EPIC electronic medical record experience required
• Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license) in hand at time of submission
• Education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS required
• Proficient in IV starts and telemetry monitoring
• Skills: Blood product administration, ventilated patient care, central line management, emergency medications, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV vasopressors, phlebotomy, triage, and 12-lead EKG

Additional Requirements:

• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• Strict compliance deadline: Tuesday prior to start date with no exceptions
• Urgent Ohio fingerprinting process must be completed immediately upon contract signing
• Request time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of application and built into contract
• Two professional references required: at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role; charge RN acceptable for second reference
• Responsiveness and cooperation with credentialing process required to avoid delays or cancellation
