About the Position

License: Valid state nursing license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: - ER experience noted in work history. - Experience in ER observation/holding or Med-Surg/Telemetry is also required. Description: Looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room Holding specialty. This position requires a commitment to providing quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate should have experience caring for a diverse patient population, including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients, administering medications, and managing essential medical equipment. Skills in accessing and managing ports, arterial line management, blood product administration, and airway management are essential. Strong knowledge of cardiac telemetry and hemodynamic monitoring is required. Candidates must be familiar with the interpretation of dysrhythmias and are expected to provide care for ventilated patients and manage various medical protocols. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy and social services, is a key component of this role. Essential qualities include strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure. The position requires flexibility to accommodate the needs of the unit and patient population. References from previous supervisors or leadership roles are necessary when applying. Candidates must complete credentialing requirements promptly upon hire.
