Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Observation Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years License: Valid state nursing license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: ER experience ER Holding experience Medical/Surgical or Telemetry experience Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department Observation unit. The position requires a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience. Experience in ER and ER Holding is preferred. Candidates must possess the required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS. The patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Daily census for the unit is 32 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. The role involves managing various patient care responsibilities and utilizing advanced medical equipment. Candidates must have strong critical thinking skills and the ability to handle high-stress situations effectively. Reference requirements include two professional references, one from a managerial position.
