Job Summary Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, Saint Louis, Missouri. Employment Details Duration: Ongoing Employment Type: Staff Schedule: 3‑12 hour midshifts (12P‑12A), night shift differential, self‑scheduling 6‑week block. Bed Count: 26 beds, primary stroke center. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Promote patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment and educate patients/families on post‑treatment home care and medication administration. Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance; engage in professional development. Develop, implement, and document individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and families. Proactively plan and ensure communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care. Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Assess patient preferences and barriers to involvement in care, including values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population‑specific needs. Maintain constant state of alertness; work safely (BJC designated safety‑sensitive position). Minimum Requirements Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing. License: RN. Experience: No experience required. Supervisor Experience: No experience required. Preferred Requirements Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or higher.
