We deploy and support products such as Computer-Aided Dispatch, Records Management Systems, Jail Management Systems, and Mobile Data Computing, among other offerings.Job DescriptionThe Project Manager will report to the Regional Services Manager and will be responsible for managing the deployment of complex public safety solutions for Computer-Aided Dispatch, Mobile computing, Records Management, and Jail Management. The Project Manager is expected to lead and manage deployments across a wide range of customers including Statewide, Regional, County, and City level public safety jurisdictions. The Project Manager will manage a team of individual contributors across a number of disciplines providing leadership, guidance, mentoring, and support throughout all phases of the project.This is a remote position which requires approximately 25 - 50% travel within the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast region. Strong preference for candidates based in the Virginia, Maryland, and DC.Job DetailsLeads complex, large public safety applications (CAD/Mobile/Records/Jail) projectsLeads and directs the work activities of the project team across organizational boundariesDrives strategic relationships between internal and external teamsResolves issues between internal and external groupsResponsible for the profit level for all projects under their controlEstablishing and maintaining a project budget and scheduleEstablishing and maintaining a communication plan with project teams and customersEstablishing and executing a risk assessment and mitigation plansEstablishing and maintaining a quality planApproving invoicesProviding system integration quotations and statements of workResponsible for creating, distributing, and presenting various project status reports and resultsWorks with the Project Management Office to identify and implement process improvement and best practices across the Project Management disciplineParticipate in pre-contract evaluation of contract terms and scope in order to evaluate and mitigate potential risks/gapsParticipation in pre-contract oral presentations and customer negotiationsPreferred QualificationsPMP Certification preferredBachelor's degree (or equivalent industry experience) plus 3 years of project management experience managing complex deployments and/or software application deployments, including integration with 3rd party products and servicesPrefer experience with managing projects for State and Local government agencies in public safetyExperience with project risk assessment and risk mitigation strategiesAbility to apply critical thinking skills to solve problems and make decisionsMust be a self-motivated team player able to work effectively with general guidance toward objectives and have the ability to think outside of the scope of responsibilities and take initiativeMust have excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skillsMust have previous experience leading and directing a team of professionals across organizational/functional boundariesMust be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customerMust be able to travel up to 25 - 50% through the Northeast USThis position is subject to working in high-security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customersTarget Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $115,000Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
