Business Development Director - Asset Management / Alternatives New York | Hybrid $200,000-$220,000 base + commission If you know how to win senior relationships in asset management and alternative investments, and you want a role with genuine headroom, this is worth a look. We are working on a search for a Business Development Director to lead growth in North America for a high-value data and intelligence offering used by senior leaders across financial services. This is a chance to take a strong product set into a market with real momentum behind it, backed by the credibility, infrastructure and reach of a top-tier global consulting platform. This role will suit someone who is already trusted in the asset and wealth management space, understands how to sell into complex organisations, and brings both commercial sharpness and market credibility. If you have sold benchmarking, strategy, analytics, market intelligence or similar solutions into this world, you will likely see the appeal quickly. You'll be given the platform to: Own and grow a North America book in a specialist, high-value offering Build on an established reputation while helping shape the next phase of growth Sell a proposition that lands with senior decision-makers, not a commoditised product Work closely with senior internal stakeholders across sales, product and leadership Influence market strategy, product feedback and client positioning Join a business with serious upside and the support of a globally respected parent brand The role You will take responsibility for developing and growing client relationships across the asset management and alternative investment market, driving revenue through a disciplined, high-value sales approach. The remit includes: Leading the full sales cycle from market mapping and prospecting through to close Building and executing a clear regional go-to-market plan Developing a strong pipeline and managing it with discipline Opening and growing relationships with senior stakeholders and C-suite decision-makers Positioning complex data, benchmarking and strategic insight solutions in a compelling commercial way Working closely with product and subject matter teams to shape tailored client propositions Feeding market insight back into the wider commercial and product strategy What they need The brief is clear: they need someone who can open doors, build trust and convert. You are likely to bring: A strong track record of selling into asset managers, wealth managers and/or alternative investment firms Experience selling benchmarking, analytics, strategic insight, data services or consultative solutions A credible network / contact book across the buy-side, particularly in alternatives The ability to run complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes with confidence Strong commercial judgement and the instinct to spot where demand is moving The energy, pace and ambition to help grow a business with significant market potential Gravitas with senior clients, but also the hunger to build Why this business is interesting What makes this especially compelling is the combination of specialist relevance and big-platform backing.
