Key Responsibilities\n

• Facilitate support groups for parents of children with mental health challenges, creating a safe and therapeutic environment for open discussion and support.

• Conduct parent training programs focused on issues related to parenting children with mental health needs, especially those who have been prenatally exposed to substances.

• Perform developmental evaluations for children to assess their growth and recognize any potential delays or concerns early.
\n
• Offer temperament counseling to parents, assisting them in understanding their child’s behaviors and effective parenting strategies.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services provided to ensure compliance with health regulations and internal policies.
\n
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the hospice setting to create comprehensive care plans that address both physical and mental health needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and their families, specifically those facing mental health challenges or requiring social support in parenting. You will work with a diverse clientele, including parents managing complex issues related to adoption and substance exposure, aiming to provide them with the tools and resources necessary for effective parenting and nurturing healthy child development.

Qualifications\n

• Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate program.

• A minimum of two years of professional experience in a healthcare setting, with at least one year in a mental health environment.

• Active and unrestricted Clinical Social Worker License (LCSW).
