Job Title: Clean Room Assembler / Associate Production Operator

Job Description

The Clean Room Assembler / Associate Production Operator supports manufacturing and distribution operations for class II and III medical device products in a clean room environment. You will operate molding and related equipment at the early stages of production, handle small components, and perform precise assembly and inspection tasks under detailed procedures and specifications. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to Good Documentation Practices, and comfort working with microscopes, hand tools, and various production machines.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machines that manufacture molded products at the stages of the process, including loading molds into the machines, running the equipment, and removing molds safely.
• Perform process steps in the manufacturing area such as molding, dipping, packaging, and assembly according to established procedures.
• Complete work by following standard operating procedures (SOPs), detailed manufacturing instructions, and specification drawings to ensure product quality and consistency.
• Document and record all work performed on work order documentation in compliance with Good Documentation Practices.
• Prepare, maintain, and record traceability of raw materials used in production to ensure accurate lot control and compliance.
• Remove parts from molds and fixtures using small hand tools, specialized fixtures, and compressed air while protecting product integrity.
• Manufacture and inspect products using a microscope to identify defects or irregularities in small parts and assemblies.
• Operate various production equipment, including but not limited to test stations, ovens, coating equipment, heat sealing machines, dipping equipment, and presses.
• Handle chemicals in accordance with established Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements and procedures.
• Resolve routine questions and problems independently and escalate more complex issues to Production Leads or Supervisors as needed.
• Serve as a resource to others in the area by assisting with the resolution of more complex problems and issues when required.
• Conform to all applicable quality and environmental health and safety policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with clean room and company standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support overall production and team objectives.

Essential Skills

• 1–2 years of medical manufacturing experience, including operating machines in a clean room environment.
• At least 6 months of microscope assembly or inspection experience working with small parts.
• Demonstrated experience working with small components that require fine hand dexterity.
• Ability to operate production machinery and equipment safely and consistently.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and leads.
• Basic computer skills to navigate production systems and enter data accurately.
• Ability to follow written instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) precisely.
• Comfort working in a clean room environment with full gowning and strict cleanliness standards.
• Capability to lift approximately 25–35 pounds to set molds into machines and handle equipment.
• Experience using hand tools, fixtures, and microscopes in a production or assembly setting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Prior experience in medical device production, medical assembly, or clean room assembly.
• Familiarity with medical device inspection processes and quality standards.
• Experience with packaging and assembly of medical products in a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices and traceability requirements.
• Ability to work with multiple types of production equipment such as ovens, presses, coating, dipping, and heat sealing machines.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for detailed assembly and inspection tasks.
• Willingness to learn new processes and cross-train in different production operations.
• Comfort working under microscopes for extended periods when required.

The work schedule follows a Monday through Thursday shift from 2:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., providing a consistent four-day workweek in a stable, production-focused environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
