About the Role Our client, a rapidly expanding real estate agency, is looking for a proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead growth initiatives in the Welkom, Free State region. This role is pivotal in identifying new market opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and expanding the company’s client base and service offerings. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the local real estate market, exceptional networking skills, and a proven ability to drive revenue. This hybrid role offers a balance of strategic planning and client engagement, combining remote work flexibility with essential face-to-face interactions within the Free State . You will be instrumental in shaping the future growth trajectory of our client's presence in this key economic area, contributing to their ongoing success and market leadership. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement strategic business development plans to increase market share and revenue in Welkom and surrounding areas. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including strategic alliances, partnerships, and potential acquisitions. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including property developers, investors, corporate clients, and other industry professionals. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote our services and build brand awareness. Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential areas for service expansion. Develop compelling proposals and presentations tailored to prospective clients, highlighting the company's value proposition. Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment on business development strategies and lead generation efforts. Track and report on business development activities, pipeline progress, and key performance indicators (KPIs). Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field within the real estate industry. Proven track record of successfully identifying and closing new business opportunities. In-depth knowledge of the Free State real estate market, including key players and market dynamics. Exceptional networking, negotiation, and communication skills. Strategic thinking ability with a results-oriented mindset. Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite. Ability to work autonomously and effectively manage time across remote and in-person activities. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the designated region is required.
