Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth assessments and evaluations to accurately identify clients' mental health needs, thereby developing tailored treatment plans that reflect individual goals.

• Provide evidence-based therapy services to individuals, groups, and families, utilizing a spectrum of therapeutic approaches including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions.

• Engage in regular collaboration with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care, ensuring that all aspects of a client's mental and emotional health are addressed holistically.

• Offer crisis intervention services to clients facing acute psychological distress, applying your proficiency and compassion to stabilize situations and connect clients with further resources.

• Participate in community outreach initiatives and educational programs aimed at increasing mental health awareness, ultimately contributing to a decrease in stigma associated with mental health issues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Valor Center caters to a wide variety of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families from diverse backgrounds. Given the multicultural environment of El Paso, our therapists are encouraged to develop their cultural competence, ensuring that their therapeutic practices are equitable and respectful of clients' diverse identities, including ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and personal experiences.

Qualifications\n

• Possess an active and independent license as a therapist (LMFT, LCSW, LPC, or PsyD) in the State of Texas.

• Have completed a master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Exhibit outstanding communication and interpersonal skills necessary for building therapeutic relationships with clients.

• Demonstrate cultural competence and the capacity to work empathetically with clients from various ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

• Show proficiency in organizational and time-management skills, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment plans.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
