Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability and relieving pain while promoting optimal muscle function and performance based on the patient's capabilities.
• Direct and supervise physical therapy assistants in the execution of the established plan of care to ensure consistency and quality in patient treatment.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients’ functional levels using diagnostic assessments, including muscle, nerve, joint, and function testing.
• Assess the home environment for rehabilitation needs and provide actionable recommendations to enhance clients’ independence and wellbeing.
• Deliver therapy services in compliance with physician orders, ensuring the administration of manual therapeutic exercises and encouraging patient participation in non-manual activities.
• Administer a variety of treatments, such as traction and massage, and utilize physical agents to promote healing and alleviate discomfort.
• Fit and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices for clients, consulting with physicians regarding any necessary modifications.
• Actively participate in the interdisciplinary team by engaging in case conferences, contributing to care plans, and collaborating with team members for comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain meticulous clinical records, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring they are submitted in a timely manner as per organizational protocols.
• Instruct clients and their families on the correct use and care of physical therapy equipment, fostering an understanding of their treatment plans.
• Provide direct supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants in accordance with state regulations and assist with on-site functional assessments as needed.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in physical therapy, particularly in orthopedic settings, is essential.
• Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team framework while maintaining a patient-centered focus.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a rehabilitation facility or home health setting is highly desirable.
• Certification in specialized areas of orthopedic therapy or continuing education in related fields would be a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

Citizens Postural Correction Physiocare offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience.
