Associate Attorney - Civil Litigation

Job Overview A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for their office in Tallahassee, FL. The firm specializes in insurance defense, insurance regulatory, complex commercial litigation, and business litigation. The role involves handling various litigation matters, including first party property insurance defense and commercial litigation. Responsibilities Research legal issues and counsel clients. Negotiate resolutions of legal disputes. Appear in court to prosecute and defend clients' interests. Analyze and interpret statutes, caselaw, and regulations. Prepare legal documents such as pleadings and motions. Provide strategic legal analysis and guidance. Investigate facts by interviewing witnesses and researching public records. Evaluate exposure and develop recommendations. Communicate effectively with clients on substantive matters. Demonstrate strong negotiation and courtroom skills. Maintain confidentiality and comply with legal standards. Requirements Three to five years of litigation experience required. Experience in first party property insurance defense and commercial litigation preferred. Licensure in Georgia and/or Alabama is a plus. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree required. Certifications Bar admission in Florida required. Skills Strong analytical, research, and writing skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to develop litigation strategies.
