Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will:

• Evaluate clients to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of their mood disorder symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to craft tailored treatment plans that align with their individual needs, goals, and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to deliver effective treatment.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and essential self-care practices.
\n
• Continuously monitor and document client progress, making adjustments to treatment strategies as necessary.

• Coordinate care with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive treatment approach.

• Remain informed on the latest research and treatments related to mood disorders to enhance therapeutic strategies.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in adherence to legal and ethical standards.
\n
• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to foster collaboration and continual learning.

• Advocate for mental health awareness, addressing the needs of marginalized populations including homeless individuals, refugees, and victims of domestic violence.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your focus will primarily be on individuals facing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will also work with various client groups, supporting those disproportionately affected by mental health challenges, like homeless individuals and survivors of trauma, thus making a profound impact on their recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
