Orthopedic Technician

Orthopedic TechnologistUnder the supervision, provides specialized support in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of orthopedic conditions. Assists in the application of casts, braces, splints, and other orthopedic devices, and may also assist in surgical procedures. Essential Functions Set up and apply traction in accordance with standard procedures and instructions. -Assist with the application of casts, braces, and prostheses. Requisition, store, and dispense supplies as directed. -Inspect and maintain orthopedic equipment. -Instruct selected patients in cast care, simple exercises, and crutch or cane use.
