Job Description
X Energy, LLC is seeking a Technical Accounting Manager responsible for researching, analyzing, and documenting technical accounting positions for the Company in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The Technical Accounting Manager will also be instrumental in establishing accounting policies and providing guidance on technical accounting matters, working closely with various departments across the organization to ensure proper accounting treatment for complex transactions, contracts, and emerging issues. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the integrity of the Company's financial statements.

Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities:

• Research and document technical accounting positions on complex transactions, contracts, and arrangements and report recommendations to executive management
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures for new business processes or areas where existing documentation is insufficient
• Evaluate and document accounting treatment for revenue contracts, leases, debt and equity instruments, and other complex arrangements
• Analyze and implement new accounting pronouncements and standards
• Provide guidance to the accounting team and various departments on technical accounting matters
• Support the financial statement preparation and disclosure process from a technical accounting perspective
• Collaborate with external auditors on technical accounting matters and respond to related inquiries
• Participate in system implementations to ensure alignment with accounting requirements
• Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager

Job Profile Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• The skills required for this role are typically demonstrated by ten plus years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with focus on technical accounting
• CPA required
• Public accounting experience preferred, ideally with exposure to technical accounting research
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Location: 530 Gaither Road, Rockville, MD

Work Site Expectations: 3 days in office
Travel Expectations: 5% (as needed for project assignment)
Hours: Standard office hours are 8:00am ET to 5:00pm ET, Monday -Friday

Compensation

As required by Maryland and other applicable state law, X Energy, LLC (X-energy) lists the expected compensation range for a publicly advertised job opportunity based upon the job requirements (e.g. education/training, experience, skill sets, etc.). Individual candidates who meet the job requirements for the posted position will be offered a salary within this range based on their respective levels of education/training, experience, and other qualifications unique to them. Salary ranges may vary based on the specific office location and region referenced in the posting to take into consideration differences in cost of living and may not be reflective of all regions. Please note that compensation ranges listed for US job postings reflect base salary only and do not include benefits or other incentives.

Offers within the posted salary range are commensurate with the individual's qualifications for the position, along with a view on internal equity, market data, and room for growth. The salary range for this position is:
$145,000- $170,000
