This role plays a critical part in ensuring the timely movement of freight while resolving disruptions and maintaining high levels of service.Key Responsibilities* Monitor and manage freight movements to ensure on-time pickup and delivery* Troubleshoot and resolve transportation disruptions in real time* Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, and internal stakeholders* Track shipment performance and escalate issues when necessary* Use internal systems to gather data and support reporting needs* Partner with cross-functional teams to improve operational performance* Support workload surges and high-volume periods, including overtime as neededDay-to-DayYou will act as a central point of coordination for freight operations, identifying and resolving issues that may impact delivery timelines. This role requires making real-time decisions using internal tools while maintaining clear communication across stakeholders.Required Qualifications* High school diploma or equivalent* 1+ year of experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays* Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills* Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentPreferred Qualifications* Experience in customer service, call center, logistics, or supply chain* Background in transportation or operations environmentsWhat Success Looks Like* Ability to quickly resolve operational issues* Strong communication across multiple stakeholders* High attention to detail and follow-through* Comfort working in a structured, high-accountability environmentEEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
