DC Plan Administrator / Consultant
\nRemote or Onsite | Compensation Commensurate with Experience
\nAn established, independent third-party administrator specializing in the administration and compliance of qualified retirement plans is seeking an experienced DC Plan Administrator/Consultant to join its team. Known for technical depth, long-term client relationships, and a collaborative culture, this firm goes beyond software output to truly understand the plans it administers — and values professionals who take pride in accuracy, client service, and continuous growth.
\nThis is a senior-level individual contributor role for a technically strong, detail-oriented professional ready to own a book of business and build lasting client relationships.
\nWhat You'll Do
\n- \n
- Serve as primary point of contact for an assigned book of qualified retirement plan clients, including sponsors, advisors, CPAs, and recordkeeping partners \n
- Handle full-cycle annual plan administration — census review, eligibility, valuation, compliance testing, and year-end deliverables \n
- Perform ADP/ACP, 401(a)(4), 410(b), top-heavy, 402(g), and 415 testing \n
- Calculate employer contributions across pro-rata, permitted disparity, and new comparability/cross -testing formulas \n
- Prepare and file Form 5500 and related schedules, coordinating with auditors on large plan filings \n
- Review loan and distribution requests, including hardship withdrawals, RMDs, and QDROs \n
- Interpret plan documents and review amendments/restatements \n
- Identify operational failures and recommend corrections via EPCRS (SCP/VCP) \n
- Support plan terminations and issue required participant notices (Safe Harbor, SAR, Fee Disclosure, Blackout) \n
- Monitor legislative/regulatory changes to proactively advise clients \n
What You Bring
\n- \n
- Minimum 3 years of A-to-Z, soup-to-nuts DC plan administration experience \n
- Strong command of ADP/ACP, 401(a)(4), 410(b), top-heavy testing, and contribution allocation methods \n
- Working knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations \n
- Form 5500 preparation and filing experience \n
- Strong plan document interpretation skills \n
- Excellent communication with sponsors, advisors, and CPAs \n
- Strong organizational skills managing multiple clients and deadlines \n
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office \n
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote setup \n
