Product Manager

Help decide what ENVE builds next and guide great products from the first idea to the final ride. We are looking for an experienced Product Manager who can turn those insights into focused product strategies, compelling business cases, and products that strengthen ENVE's position in the cycling industry. This role sits at the center of product development. You will own assigned product categories across the full lifecycle, shaping the roadmap, defining requirements, evaluating commercial potential, and working closely with Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience to move products from concept through commercialization and beyond. You will need to be equally comfortable listening to riders and dealers, analyzing category economics, debating product tradeoffs with technical teams, and presenting a recommendation to leadership. ENVE Composites, based in Ogden, Utah, is a leading manufacturer of premium carbon fiber bicycles and components. What You Will Do This role combines category strategy, product development, commercial judgment, and cross-functional leadership. You will be responsible for: Developing product strategies and category roadmaps informed by rider needs, market opportunities, competitive activity, dealer feedback, and ENVE's business objectives. Leading assigned products through the full lifecycle, including concept development, business-case evaluation, commercialization, ongoing portfolio management, product improvement, and end-of-life planning. Partnering with Engineering and Operations to establish product requirements, cost targets, feature priorities, development budgets, and launch timelines. Analyzing sales trends, category financial performance, market conditions, and competitive positioning to guide pricing, portfolio, and investment recommendations. Building clear, credible business cases that balance rider value, technical feasibility, brand fit, revenue potential, profitability, and organizational capacity. Working with Marketing, Sales, Customer Experience, distributors, and channel partners to prepare products for launch and support successful market adoption. Communicating product value propositions, features, benefits, and competitive differentiation to both technical and commercial audiences. Monitoring category performance and customer feedback to identify product improvements, portfolio opportunities, and future growth initiatives. Presenting category performance, product recommendations, and strategic priorities to leadership. Representing ENVE at trade shows, dealer visits, material shows, and partner meetings to stay close to riders, customers, technology, and the market. This Role Is Probably a Great Fit If You Understand cycling products, riders, categories, and culture well enough to recognize both genuine rider needs and meaningful market opportunities. Enjoy moving between the big picture and the details, from long-term category strategy to a specific feature, cost target, or launch decision. Ask strong questions, listen carefully, and use research, feedback, and data to separate an interesting idea from a viable product opportunity. Can translate customer and market needs into clear product requirements without trying to do Engineering's job for them. Think commercially and understand how pricing, cost, margin, volume, portfolio placement, and lifecycle decisions affect product success. Are comfortable making recommendations, explaining tradeoffs, and building alignment across teams with different perspectives and priorities. Can lead complex work without relying on formal authority and know when to challenge, when to listen, and when to make a decision. Thrive in a fast-moving environment with multiple products, development timelines, stakeholders, and changing information. Take ownership after launch and remain accountable for how the product and category perform in the market. What Success Looks Like As you grow into the role, you will help ENVE: Build focused category roadmaps that connect rider needs and market opportunities with ENVE's long-term strategy. Make disciplined product decisions supported by research, financial analysis, competitive insight, and a clear business case. Improve alignment among Product, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Experience throughout the product lifecycle. Bring differentiated, commercially viable products to market with clear requirements, realistic targets, and effective cross-functional execution. Manage category portfolios with stronger visibility into revenue, profitability, pricing, lifecycle health, and future investment needs. Create a consistent feedback loop between riders, dealers, partners, internal teams, and future product direction. Identify timely opportunities to improve, reposition, expand, or retire products based on performance and market conditions. We are not looking for someone who simply keeps a development schedule moving. We are looking for someone who can understand the rider and the business, establish a clear product direction, and help a cross-functional team turn that direction into products riders genuinely value. Requirements Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or a related field. Six or more years of product management, category management, commercial management, or related experience, preferably within cycling, outdoor recreation, sporting goods, or premium consumer products. At least two years of experience conducting or applying market research to identify customer needs and market demand. Demonstrated ability to develop product strategy, business cases, category recommendations, or commercially focused product plans. Strong business judgment and the ability to evaluate sales, pricing, cost, profitability, market, and competitive information. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with business, technical, and external audiences. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a focused but flexible manner. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience using SAP or a comparable ERP system. Professional media training. Preferred Qualifications Meaningful knowledge of one or more cycling categories, including Road, Gravel, Triathlon, Mountain Bike, Components, or Accessories. Experience managing technically sophisticated, performance-driven, or premium consumer products across multiple lifecycle stages. Experience partnering with Engineering and Operations on requirements, cost targets, development tradeoffs, and commercialization. Experience working with dealers, distributors, channel partners, athletes, or other cycling-industry stakeholders. Experience with SAP Business ByDesign.
