Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to create tailored treatment plans that address specific mental health needs.

• Facilitate individual counseling sessions, and where applicable, lead family and group therapy sessions, harnessing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

• Perform mental health screenings and assessments, utilizing tools that are current and aligned with best practices.

• Document treatment progress and adjust plans as necessary, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational policies.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to enhance the treatment experience for clients and contribute insights on ongoing cases.

• Engage in continuous professional development, attending training sessions and workshops to stay updated on the latest trends in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The Mental Health Counselor position requires empathy and understanding in addressing the complex needs of diverse client demographics, including children facing emotional challenges, teens grappling with identity and peer pressure, adults managing stressors in personal and professional life, and first responders dealing with traumatic situations. A deep understanding of the unique aspects related to each group will enhance therapeutic engagements and promote effective healing strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work (LCSW), Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT), or Counseling (LPC).

• Valid and active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Oregon.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a clinical setting, preferably working with individuals facing mental and behavioral health challenges.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 105,000, dependent on experience and qualifications.
