Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, aligning therapeutic goals with their specific needs and preferences.

• Provide evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting techniques as necessary based on client responses.

• Educate clients and their families regarding mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to enhance engagement in the therapeutic process.

• Monitor clients’ progress continuously, adjusting treatment plans to respond effectively to evolving needs.

• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and optimize client outcomes.

• Stay abreast of the latest research in mood disorders to inform and evolve treatment approaches.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and experiences, allowing you to apply your expertise in a variety of contexts while positively impacting their mental health journeys. This role is critical in providing them with the tools and support needed to navigate their challenges.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience with a focus on mood disorders preferred.

• Proficiency in evidence-based interventions, particularly CBT and DBT.

• Strong grasp of psychopharmacology and proven ability to work collaboratively with psychiatric professionals.

• Demonstrated success in achieving positive client outcomes in treating mood disorders.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build rapport with clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
