Contract (13 or 26-week options available) | Nights (4x12-Hour Shifts, 19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48-hour weekly options available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a general medical surgical and telemetry unit serving populations including total knee and hip replacement, complicated orthopedic cases, pulmonary, sepsis, GI, endocrine, cardiac, renal, and psychiatric illnesses
• Care for patients on a secured floor that includes those with underlying behavioral health conditions such as detox and dementia; training for safety and de-escalation is provided
• Administer and manage IV drips, which are required on all floors
• Document patient care using EPIC electronic health records (required)
• Float within scope to meet facility staffing needs across various units and campuses as directed; travelers are first to float and should expect to do so frequently
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team including CNAs, care techs, transport team, paramedics/swoop, and LPNs (where assigned)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nebraska RN license required; pending license accepted, though confirmed start date will be scheduled accordingly)
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a large, urban hospital setting (experience at a Level I Academic Medical Center may be considered in lieu of prior travel experience)
• Proficiency with IV drip management
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification preferred
• Comfort and experience working with behavioral health patient populations
• Prior travel nursing experience
