Work Environment

This position requires an onsite presence within the hospital, facilitating direct patient interactions and collaborative work with healthcare professionals across various specialties. You will generally work Monday to Friday for 40 hours per week, starting at 5:00 PM, ensuring a work-life balance while engaging in fulfilling patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, gathering comprehensive medical histories to inform treatment decisions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including lab work and imaging studies, to diagnose pain-related conditions accurately.
• Effectively diagnose and manage both acute and chronic pain conditions through evidence-based practice.
• Create individualized treatment plans that integrate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions for managing pain.
• Prescribe medications judiciously, monitoring patient responses and adjusting treatment plans as necessary for optimal outcomes.
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records to ensure continuity of care and compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Oversee patient scheduling and follow-up to guarantee timely care delivery.
• Educate patients and their families about pain management strategies, proactive care, and lifestyle modifications to improve health outcomes.
• Advocate for holistic approaches to health, emphasizing the importance of mental well-being alongside physical health.
• Participate in ongoing training, research initiatives, and collaborative projects to enhance healthcare delivery and improve patient experiences.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A valid State Physician Assistant license (PA-C) and current DEA registration are required to practice.
• A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies with a strong academic foundation.

• Profound knowledge of primary and acute care methodologies and patient care standards.

Compensation and Benefits

Employees at Good Samaritan Prime Care Hospital can expect a competitive salary in the range of $140,000 to $180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and educational background.
