Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' symptoms and determine the impact of mood disorders on their daily functioning.

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients to address their specific needs, preferences, and goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help clients manage their conditions effectively.

• Monitor client progress by tracking treatment outcomes and modifying plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, providing them with tools for self-care and effective management strategies.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care integration and to optimize treatment outcomes.

• Document all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans accurately and in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participate in ongoing professional development and internal case consultations, sharing insights and best practices within the team.

• Advocate for clients, addressing challenges related to stigma in mental health and promoting awareness of available resources.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. Our diverse clientele ranges from adolescents to adults, providing an enriching environment that enhances your clinical experience and understanding of various cultural perspectives on mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW or LCSW-R), or Licensed Psychoanalyst in New York State.

• Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to build rapport and trust with diverse client populations.

• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology relevant to mood disorders.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience specializing in treating mood disorders is preferred.

• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities including CBT and DBT and a strong track record of successful client outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary range for this position is between USD 115,000 and 130,000, commensurate with experience, along with a sign-on bonus to welcome you to our team.
