Key Responsibilities\n

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will be responsible for a variety of critical tasks that are essential for patient care and clinic operations. Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting thorough mental health evaluations and assessments to establish appropriate treatment plans that address each client’s unique situation.

• Providing immediate crisis intervention and ongoing therapeutic support to patients of all ages, ensuring timely and effective responses in acute situations.

• Completing necessary documentation and statistical reports to track patient progress and outcomes, as well as contributing to the clinic’s overall data management.

• Coordinating with the Department of Correction to facilitate care access for patients involved in the justice system, ensuring continuity of treatment and support.

• Leading group therapy sessions on mental health observation units and coordinating care with various institutional programs to deliver integrated support.

• Participating in weekly clinical supervision meetings with the Clinical Supervisor to reflect on practices, gain insights, and enhance therapeutic skills.

• Engaging in multidisciplinary case conferences and treatment planning to collaboratively develop effective approaches for managing complex cases.

• Working with clinical tools and methodologies, potentially including psychological testing, to inform treatment and support decision-making.

• Supervising social work interns or student volunteers as assigned, fostering the development of future mental health professionals.

• Performing additional duties as directed by Unit Chief or other supervisors to maintain clinic operations and patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role will involve supporting a diverse patient population, from children to adults, presenting various mental health issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, and severe psychiatric disorders. The counselor will provide culturally competent care that respects each patient's individual background and experiences, contributing to a therapeutic atmosphere that encourages openness and healing.

Qualifications\n

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field.

• Ability to secure and maintain a valid state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Strong understanding of mental health assessment, crisis intervention, and therapeutic best practices.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

Preferred candidates will have prior experience working in clinical settings, particularly in community health or hospital-based environments. Compensation and Benefits\n

Our comprehensive compensation package ranges from $115,000 to $130,000 annually, reflecting experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
