Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our center primarily serves individuals grappling with various mental health challenges compounded by co-occurring physical health issues. This includes patients with chronic illnesses, those recovering from significant medical procedures, and individuals managing both mental health conditions and lifestyle illnesses, such as diabetes and hypertension. Your work will be crucial in helping these patients navigate their complex health journeys.

Qualifications\n

To thrive in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Psychoanalyst, Psychologist, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.

• Demonstrated experience in mental health counseling with a focus on patients who have co-occurring medical conditions.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective therapeutic relationships.
