Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, evaluating the intricacies of individual cases while considering any co-occurring medical conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with clients facing complex mental health challenges, often compounded by co-existing medical conditions. This may include individuals with chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, or cardiovascular diseases who are experiencing mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, or PTSD. Your approach will need to be holistic, understanding that emotional and physical health are deeply intertwined.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution is required.

• Valid licensure as a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), licensed psychoanalyst, psychologist, or marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.

• Strong foundational understanding and experience in treating individuals with co-occurring medical conditions are essential.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse patient population.

• Proficient in digital tools, including electronic health records, to streamline documentation and communication processes.

• Ability to foster a collaborative environment while maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to clinical ethics.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working in integrated health settings is highly desired. Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Previous exposure to working with interdisciplinary teams is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n
