Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through both initial and ongoing assessments, documenting relevant clinical information meticulously.
\n
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans tailored specifically to the mental, behavioral, and emotional needs of clients, ensuring alignment with best practices and ethical standards.

• Facilitate engaging and effective individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques to foster positive therapeutic outcomes.
\n
• Monitor and assess client progress throughout the treatment process, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

• Coordinate and collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, doctors, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care for clients, especially those with complex needs.

• Proactively identify and address behaviors that may hinder recovery, while assisting family members and primary caregivers through supportive education and resources.
\n
• Manage referrals appropriately, ensuring clients receive the necessary external resources and services to complement their treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMFT, LPC, or LCSW) in New Jersey.

• A successful score on the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficient working knowledge of electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR.
\n
• Strong understanding of the effects of both emotional and physical health conditions, addiction disorders, and their intersection with mental health.

• Exemplary communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills demonstrating empathy, patience, and a supportive demeanor.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience providing mental health counseling, including facilitation of both individual and group therapy sessions.

• Keen familiarity with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) guidelines and best practices.

• Experience working in telehealth settings is advantageous but not required.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
