Overview
Registered Nurse – L&D travel assignment in Newark, New York. This 13-week contract begins 08/17/2026 with a 3x12-hour day shift (07:00–19:30) and a weekly pay range of $2,256–$2,358 per week. No guaranteed hours are provided. The role is located in a hospital setting within the Labor & Delivery unit, encompassing obstetric and newborn care, triage, and surgical support.

- On-call required; rotating every other weekend; floating within skillset

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care across OB triage, labor, immediate vaginal recovery, postpartum, and newborn care; perform newborn assessment and resuscitation as needed
- Triage OB patients, monitor labor progress, and support postpartum recovery; provide newborn care in the nursery
- Scrub and circulate for vaginal deliveries and C-sections; manage C-section recovery in PACU
- Monitor fetal status with external/internal fetal monitoring; recognize and respond to abnormal fetal heart tracings
- Administer medications and manage processes such as magnesium sulfate therapy for preeclampsia; manage postpartum hemorrhage; perform IV starts and epidural care
- Contribute to patient safety and quality through accurate EPIC documentation; collaborate with PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, and Rapid Response teams
- Provide neonatal stabilization and resuscitation as needed; participate in OR/PACU activities related to obstetric cases

Requirements
- Active New York RN license in hand to submit (NYC license in hand per location requirement)
- Minimum 1 year of acute hospital RN experience
- Required clinical experience: LDRP (labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum) and Newborn Nursery; antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP required
- EPIC charting experience; able to scrub/circulate for vaginal deliveries and C-sections
- Travel status: First-time travelers accepted
- Floating within the nurse’s skillset; On-call required
- Location restriction: Candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
