Accounts Payable Specialist

Vaco Indianapolis has partnered with a client in downtown Indianapolis in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team due to growth. This is a full time, direct hire opportunity working on a hybrid schedule once trained. If you feel you would be a good fit, apply today.

What You'll Do:
* Process and manage accounts payable transactions with accuracy and timeliness.
* Review, verify, and reconcile invoices and expense reports.
* Maintain records for audits and financial reporting.
* Collaborate with teams and vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth payments.
* Assist with month-end close by preparing reports and reconciling accounts.
* Ensure compliance with accounts payable policies and procedures.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements.
* Respond to vendor and internal payment inquiries.
* Support special projects as needed.

What Makes You a Great Fit:
* Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
* 3+ years of accounts payable or related experience.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Effective communicator with strong collaboration skills.
* Able to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and meet deadlines.
* Adaptable and eager to learn new systems and processes.
