Work Environment\n

This position operates in a fully remote telehealth setting, allowing for flexible work schedules that accommodate both patient and professional needs. You will be part of a supportive team that meets regularly via virtual platforms to discuss patient care strategies and ensure seamless service delivery. Your work hours will generally be Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the possibility of some evening shifts to accommodate patient appointments.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify the unique needs and aspirations of individuals seeking treatment for substance use disorders.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient’s circumstances.

• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions, employing techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to facilitate recovery.

• Lead group therapy sessions, cultivating a safe environment for individuals to share experiences, support one another, and explore recovery strategies.

• Engage in collaborative care with psychiatrists, addiction specialists, and other multi-disciplinary team members to ensure cohesive treatment plans.

• Be prepared to offer crisis intervention for patients facing acute substance-related emergencies, ensuring immediate and effective support.

• Educate patients and their families about addiction, treatment options, prevention strategies, and available community resources.
\n
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in compliance with ethical and legal standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems as necessary.

• Participate in regular team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skill sets and treatment effectiveness.

• Keep informed about advancements in the field of substance use disorder treatment, integrating new research and methodologies into practice whenever applicable.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on adults experiencing substance use disorders, ranging from those facing mild substance abuse challenges to individuals with severe addiction issues. You will work collaboratively with patients from diverse backgrounds, addressing their particular needs and circumstances to create an inclusive and empathetic treatment environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current, valid license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York is required.
\n
• Demonstrated knowledge of substance use disorders and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and recovery-oriented care principles.
\n
• Experience providing individual and group therapy in a substance use disorder treatment context.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a non-judgmental, empathetic approach to patient interaction.

• Ability and commitment to maintaining professional boundaries, upholding ethical standards, and ensuring patient confidentiality.
\n
• Competency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other applicable computer applications.
\n
• A collaborative mindset conducive to working effectively within a multi-disciplinary team environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging between USD 115,000 and 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, a sign-on bonus may be available to new hires.
