Work Environment\n

This role will be conducted remotely, allowing for flexibility and convenience while maintaining a strong focus on the needs of students. You will collaborate with educators and school staff, contributing to a supportive team environment dedicated to student care. Your work hours will primarily be from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional evening or weekend availability based on student and family needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for students to identify emotional, mental, and social factors impacting their well-being.

• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with students, families, and educational staff, ensuring alignment with their goals and cultural backgrounds.

• Provide counseling services to students and families, helping them work through life transitions, stressors, and challenges, fostering resilience along the way.

• Advocate for students’ rights, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and support services within the school and community.
\n
• Work cohesively with a multidisciplinary team, including teachers, school psychologists, and health services, to improve the overall wellness of students.

• Conduct regular follow-ups to monitor progress, reassess needs, and adjust care plans as necessary based on student feedback and outcomes.

• Educate students and families about relevant community resources, support networks, and programs that enhance social engagement and mental wellness.

• Document all interactions, progress notes, and care plans accurately in an electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.

• Stay updated on pertinent social work practices, educational regulations, and community programs that can benefit students and their families.

This position is focused on supporting students from diverse backgrounds, addressing the unique challenges they face in their educational environments. You will work with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and family dynamics, ensuring holistic support that promotes academic success and personal development.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Texas.

Preferred Experience\n

• Minimum of two years of relevant experience in a social work role, ideally within a school or community setting focusing on youth and families.

• Demonstrated expertise in understanding and addressing issues related to child development, family systems, and educational psychology.
