Legal Billing Coordinator

Our client, a prominent, mid-size TheCC law firm, has an immediate opening for a billing coordinator. The candidate will be responsible for handling all accounts payable to a company by supervising invoicing and communicating directly with clients. Billing coordinators make sure that all customers are charged appropriately by keeping thorough records of all payments and bills.

$65,000 - $75,000 / yr

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Communicate with Partners, support staff, & clients as needed regarding billing and payment issues.
• Disburse retainer funds and send out correspondence to clients regarding the same.
• Process pre-bills (including but not limited to editing, adding time).
• Prepare and submit invoices electronically or by mail.
• Responsible for editing and generating invoices for electronic billing systems such as TyMetrix 360, LegalX, BottomLine Technologies, Mitratech and CounselLink.
• Perform conflicts checks and opening files.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Must have strong knowledge of billing and financial concepts.
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Must have 2+ years' experience in law firm billing.
• Proficient in Prolaw/ELITE a plus.
