About the Role

You'll provide critical administrative and operational support for commercial steel fabrication and erection projects — acting as the liaison between detailing, production, and project management, and owning document control, smooth project handoffs, and thorough recordkeeping from start to finish.

What You'll Do

• BOM Processing: Review and process detailer .xml (or similar) BOM files into Tekla EPM when drawings are submitted for approval.

• Sequences & Routing: Create and assign sequences for BOM data; route assemblies in Tekla EPM per shop requirements.

• Transmittals: Generate shop drawing transmittals in Tekla EPM to the fabricating shop as assigned by shop management.

• Shop Support: Help the shops resolve sequence and BOM questions quickly.

• Purchasing Handoffs: Process buyout requests and Advance Bills of Materials in Tekla EPM and notify Purchasing — so material is bought ahead of shop drawings.

• Revisions: Process revised detailer files and coordinate changes with the fabricating shop.

• Document Control: Serve as document-control backup, with thorough recordkeeping from project start to finish.

What You Bring

Must-haves

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in steel fabrication/erection or the construction industry

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and fabrication documents

• Experience with fabrication-management software such as Tekla EPM

Schedule & Work Environment

• Based at our corporate office: Las Cimas III, 805 Las Cimas Parkway, Bldg. III, Ste 100, Austin

• Core office hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (excluding Patriot-observed holidays)
