Job Title: Senior Government Rates Analyst

Location: (Indianapolis, IN)

Duration: Contract - 12 months (potential extension or conversion)

Pay Range: $40/hr (W2)

 

Job Description

We are seeking a  Senior Government Rates Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in  government cost accounting, SAP financial data, and advanced Excel and a proven ability to  prepare compliant government submissions, develop labor and overhead rates, and support audits .

Responsibilities:

• Work directly with customer representatives, including DCMA and DCAA.
• Serve as the initial point of contact for internal and government audits of formal submissions.
• Gather SAP financial data and build advanced Excel models to prepare submissions.
• Interpret FAR, DFARS, and CAS requirements to assess compliance and recommend improvements.
• Prepare labor and overhead rates with supporting documentation.
• Prepare DoD Disclosure Statements and accounting change impact submissions.
• Leverage knowledge of cost center structures and relationships to assess cost impacts.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2+ years of accounting experience with exposure to SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills, including XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and large or complex spreadsheets.
• Knowledge of government cost accounting for rate and price development.
• Understanding of FAR, DFARS, and CAS requirements.

• Proactive, analytical, and execution-focused approach.
