Work Environment

This position will be based in our outpatient office located in Front Royal, Virginia. The role is primarily onsite, allowing therapists to build strong relationships with their patients and their families. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to understand their condition and develop treatment programs.
• Establish individualized treatment plans that incorporate various therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, aquatics, and education to increase patients' mobility and alleviate pain.
• Utilize appropriate modalities and equipment to facilitate recovery while monitoring patients' progress during treatment sessions.
• Regularly document patient outcomes, program adjustments, and progress notes to ensure continuity of care and adherence to best practices.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, discussing patient care strategies and sharing knowledge to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and families on exercises, recovery techniques, and the use of assistive devices to promote independence and self-care.
• Maintain certification and continue professional development through workshops, training, and professional networking opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work primarily with clients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, traumatic injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our diverse patient base includes children, adults, and elderly individuals, allowing you to expand your experience and professional growth in managing varying needs across all ages.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid Physical Therapy state license in Virginia.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical settings focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with patients and fellow healthcare professionals.
• Proficient in using electronic record systems and general computer applications relevant to physical therapy practice.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings and familiarity with innovative treatment modalities.
• Background in training or mentoring new graduates or interns.
• Knowledge of community resources and collaborative healthcare practices.

Compensation and Benefits
