Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients by reviewing their medical history and performing specific physical evaluations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that are both effective and tailored to the unique needs of each patient, including explaining findings and exhibiting compassion during goal-setting discussions with patients and their families.
• Implement treatment protocols adeptly, based on each patient's evaluation results while adapting techniques in response to their evolving conditions.
• Engage in interdisciplinary consultations as necessary and maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress, addressing any changes in condition that may impact care plans.
• Conduct collaborative discharge planning to ensure continuity of care post-treatment and maintain accurate records of all patient encounters including assessments, treatments, and outcomes.
• Demonstrate efficient time management to meet productivity standards and observe punctuality in all aspects of work, including meetings and patient appointments.
• Take an active role in fostering the clinic's goals and objectives while adhering to all regulatory and accreditation standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional education and act as a mentor to students and new hires, providing guidance and expert instruction to facilitate their growth within the field.
• Advocate for patients by actively participating in initiatives aimed at improving access to care and contributing to the clinic's engagement with the local community.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work closely with diverse patient populations, including those recovering from orthopedic injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and chronic pain conditions. Our approach emphasizes personalized care, allowing physical therapists to adapt treatments to meet the varying needs of each individual.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current, valid physical therapy license in the state of Virginia is mandatory.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association is required.

Compensation and Benefits
