Work Environment

The Physical Therapist will operate onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility. Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and improving muscle function, considering each patient's unique capabilities as per their individualized care plan.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure effective implementation of treatment protocols, ensuring that best practices are adhered to.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' functional capabilities using a variety of diagnostic assessments to inform treatment strategies.
• Assess the home environments of clients, if necessary, to provide recommendations that increase functional independence in daily activities.
• Administer prescribed physical therapy services, including manual therapeutic exercises, traction, and modalities that utilize physical agents to alleviate pain and enhance physical functioning.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, recommending necessary modifications to medical staff as needed.
• Maintain and update clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate comprehensive care strategies, contributing to case discussions and evaluations.
• Train patients and their families on the safe use of physical therapy equipment and provide comprehensive education on their treatment programs.
• Contribute to ongoing clinical discussions and case reviews to continually improve service delivery and patient services.
• Monitor and document any changes in patient conditions and collaborate with physicians to make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• Active physical therapy licensure in good standing within the state of Virginia.
• Current CPR certification to ensure patient safety in all clinical settings.

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
