Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical condition, discussing findings with them and their families to ensure understanding and comfort.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that align with each patient's therapeutic goals, utilizing a combination of exercise, hands-on therapy, and advanced rehabilitation techniques.
• Utilize various therapeutic modalities and equipment to ease patients' pain, improve mobility, and enhance overall functional abilities.
• Regularly track and document patient progress, ensuring all updates are accurately recorded in our electronic health record system.
• Reassess treatment plans as necessary, setting new goals and adjusting interventions based on each patient's evolving needs.
• Provide education to patients, caregivers, and family members on rehabilitation techniques, exercises, and the use of assistive devices to foster independence.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops, seeking mentorship, and participating in relevant professional networks.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses primarily on patients recovering from orthopedic incidents, including those who have undergone surgeries, experienced injuries, or suffer from chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Your ability to connect with a diverse population and provide empathetic and informed care is crucial to their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records.
